Why be a Mobile DJ?

When asked

“Why did you decided to become a DJ?”

the majority of DJ’s answered:

1. Extra Money

According to the A.D.J.A. (American Disc Jockey Association) the average wedding gig is

$1,200.00.

That is…

One   Thousand   Two   Hundred   Dollars.

In ONE day.

Actually, in 8 hours!!!!!

That turns out to be $150 per hour.

That is what a Lawyer makes.

That is what a Doctor makes.

Put that into perspective!

How many Fifty Dollar Bills can you make in one night?

Wouldn't you like 24 of these in your wallet?

2. Extra Time

Even if you make $20 an hour in a full time job, that is $800 a week, before taxes. You can only make more money if you work over the standard 40 hours in a week. Or if you are a salaried employee, you are expected to work over 40 hours a week for the same amount of pay.

Imagine making $1200 per gig, for working 8 hours a week! More money for less hours. What would you do with the other 32 hours in your week.

Spend more time with your family.

Spend more time on the beach.

Spend more time smelling the flowers.

3. Doing Something You Love

Imagine quitting your “Job” and starting your “Career”.  Imagine telling your boss that you quit, because you are going to be your own boss.  You can fulfill your inner passion to do your own thing, and make yourself independently wealthy, instead of making someone else wealthy.
